What are the advantages of Dental Implants?

What are the main advantages of Dental Implants over Dentures or a Bridge.

Many and various.

Why the English though?

1)ATM : articulation temporo mandibulaire
ATM : would you mind withdrawing money from an ATM?

What are the advantages for an overdenture ?
There are several advantages :
-> you can keep the proprioceptive response , and the bone indirectly
-> you improve the stability and the retention
-> the prices are less important
-> you cope with the soft tissue that are less "injured"

But :
-> it demands a meticulous oral hygiene
-> even if you are a really good dentist, you cannot prevent from obtaining a real good esthetical results

The advantages of a bridge on Implants :
- As we speak, you can consider that it is often the best solution
- Everything is fixed, it's more comfortable
- Needless to say it' is more expensive , but you put the thing to the right spin -> the patient will be happier
- You don't keep the teeth , so you troubleshoot the problem easily. But it doesn't mean it is easier to put the implants (not enough bone for instance can be another problem)
- Both the surgeon and the dentist have to be well informed . You cannot put Implants on any patient.
- if it is a branemark bridge , it appears less beautiful than a normal bridge
